Overview

Overview of Mobile Manufacturing.

This guide walks you through the key processes and functions of the BE-terna Reactor Mobile Manufacturing module. The app enables production staff to post production order data efficiently via mobile devices. This reduces paper consumption, improves accuracy, and accelerates output posting directly in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Supported production activities

The module supports the following manufacturing processes:

  • Output posting
  • Component consumption
  • Time recording (setup time and run time)
  • Scrap posting

Setting up the module

To use the module, you need our Reactor Client and the BE-terna Reactor Platform Core app (AppSource). Please refer to the help page in the BE-terna Reactor Platform Core app AppSource listing to obtain and install the client, or contact us if needed.

To use the module, add it from AppSource to your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment. You can then adapt the app to your requirements. Search for “BE-Mobile Fusion Setup” in Business Central and use the settings in the “Production” FastTab.

Accessing the module

Procedure:

  1. Open the BE-terna Reactor Client.
  2. The main menu appears and shows two tiles:
  • Production order
  • Direct component posting

Select the activity you want to perform.

Production order

To start working with production orders:

  1. In the main menu, select “Production order”.
  2. A list of released production orders is displayed.
  3. You can select an entry manually or scan a production order code.
  4. After selecting a production order:
  • If the production order contains multiple lines, all production order lines are displayed. If there is only one line, this step is skipped.
  • In the production order line, select an operation to open the posting functions for time recording, output posting, and scrap.

You can perform the following postings:

  1. Time recording:
  • Setup time
  • Run time
  1. Output quantity

Note: This “finished quantity” relates only to the current operation. Warehouse availability is not affected.

  1. Scrap quantity

In the production order line, use the “Components” button to open the list of materials for component consumption.

Note: If one or more connection codes are included in the production order component list, the “Connection Filter” is displayed. You can use it to filter the displayed components by connection code.

Here you can:

  1. Scan an item to add it or increase the consumed quantity.
  2. Change the bin code using the icon next to location/bin.
  3. Post the consumption when you are finished.
  4. If stock or quantity issues occur, warning symbols are displayed. Select them for details.

Select “Finished Qty.” in the line view to post the finished quantity. This quantity affects inventory.

Direct component posting

Use this area to post component consumption directly.

  1. In the main menu, select “Direct component posting”.
  2. Select a production order from the list.
  3. The “Production Order Components” page appears. If the production order has multiple lines, all production order lines are displayed. If there is only one, this step is skipped.

In this area, you can record the consumption quantity directly, change the bin code using the icon next to the location/bin code, inspect warning symbols for stock or quantity issues, and post the consumption after entering the quantities.
