Setup Building Blocks

Controlled Sales Core Setup

Use the setup page to control key switches for call-off and shipping behavior. For the first rollout, focus on these fields:

  • Previous Workday Delivery Date: uses previous workday logic for date calculation.
  • Cum. Received Qty. Required: enforces cumulative received quantity where required.
  • Delete Partially Posted Whse.: controls handling of partially posted warehouse shipments.
  • Transport Nos.: number series used for transport documents.

Create base data

Use the Create Base Data action after initial configuration. This prepares required base values before users start productive document processing.

Define dispatch control records

Create dedicated dispatch control entries for recurring operational runs, such as daily shipments. Start with a small set of clear filters and extend only when needed.

Process Go-live guideline How to avoid common startup issues.
  • Run one test cycle per dispatch control before productive use.
  • Use clear and stable dispatch control codes so teams can identify the correct run quickly.
  • Verify transport number series and shipping method assignments before go-live.
  • Document who maintains mandatory process fields.
