Section
Master Data
This section describes the master data you prepare and maintain for stable BE-Commerce operations.
Purpose and Value
Master data is the basis for clean imports, correct releases, and a consistent transfer to the webshop. If this data is incomplete or inconsistent, follow-up processes will fail or require manual correction.
What you maintain in this area
- Webshop channels with their languages, countries, and core parameters.
- channel-related setup values through the assisted setup flow.
- categories, attributes, and other mappings required for the data handover.
- changes that must remain traceable through the change log.
Recommended sequence for new users
- Start with Assisted Setup if you want to create a new channel step by step.
- Then move to the Webshop Channel Card to understand the full configuration and later adjustments.
- Use the Change Log whenever you need to understand which data changes are handed over to the shop.
Best Practices
- Maintain master data first in an aligned test channel.
- Review language and country mappings together with posting groups.
- Document which fields are mandatory per channel.
