Setup
Purpose
This page describes the required configuration for NOS Disposition Planning. You first set the global planning parameters in the Fashion Planning Setup, ensure that the relevant items have NOS colours assigned, and create NOS size keys for variant distribution when needed.
Prerequisites
- BE-terna Fashion is installed and accessible.
- Items and their colours exist in the system.
- Locations, number series, and vendor master data are set up.
- Users have access to the Fashion Planning Setup and the item master.
Recommended Order
- Open the Fashion Planning Setup and maintain all NOS-specific parameters.
- Assign NOS colours to the relevant items (activate the NOS flag).
- Create NOS size keys when using the Item Colour planning type.
Setup Areas
Fashion Planning Setup
The Fashion Planning Setup contains the global control parameters for NOS Dispo. It is the central starting point and must be fully maintained before a first planning document can be created.
Verify and maintain at least the following fields:
- No. Series Dispo NOS — Number series for new Dispo NOS documents. Must be set before the first document can be created.
- Dispo NOS Default Factor — Default planning factor applied when building planning lines. Required field; without a value, no lines can be created.
- NOS Planning Type — Default value for new documents: ItemVariant or ItemColour.
- NOS Period Type — Default period type: Week, Decade, or Month.
- NOS Plan Def Periods Before — Number of periods before the current work date to display in the planning document by default.
- NOS Plan Def Periods After — Number of periods after the current work date.
- NOS Size Key Nos. — Number series for NOS size keys. Must be set if size keys are to be used.
Process Notes on the Planning Setup These points help you set up the Fashion Planning Setup in a consistent way.
- Make sure Dispo NOS Default Factor has a value greater than 0. The factor directly affects the calculated planned quantity.
- The default values for planning type, period type, and period counts can be overridden on individual planning documents.
- The sum of NOS Plan Def Periods Before, the current period, and NOS Plan Def Periods After must not exceed 36 periods.
NOS Colours on Items
Planning lines are only generated for colours that are marked as NOS colours on the item. Check that the relevant colours have the NOS flag set for each item in the NOS range.
Steps:
- Open the Item Card.
- Navigate to the assigned colours.
- Verify that the NOS field is activated for each relevant colour.
- Enter a Comparison Colour Code when historical data from a reference colour should be used for a new colour.
If a vendor filter will be used on the planning document, the vendor number must also be set on the item card.
NOS Size Keys
NOS size keys are required when using the Item Colour planning type. They define how a total planned quantity is distributed across the individual sizes (variants).
- Open the NOS Size Key List.
- Create a new size key.
- Select the appropriate Size Run Group. Lines with the individual sizes are generated automatically.
- Maintain the distribution shares per size in the lines.
- Assign the size key to a planning document in the Size Key field when variant distribution should be based on this key.
