PCH

Carrier-specific setup for PCH in Shipping Labels.

Purpose

This page describes the PCH-specific setup in Shipping Labels. It focuses on the product catalog, response language, label size, customer and client credentials, and the strict geographic scope for Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Prerequisites

  • The shared Shipping Labels setup is complete.
  • PCH test or productive client credentials and URLs are available.
  • The relevant PCH products are known.
  • Company Information contains the sender address used for PCH requests.
  1. Maintain or import the PCH product list.
  2. Validate the products with the available product-check functionality.
  3. Maintain customer number, client credentials, response language, and label size.
  4. Test one valid scenario inside the supported country scope.

Setup components

Start with the product list and product check

PCH uses a product list that should be maintained from the carrier-provided data. Use the product-check step when it is available to validate whether the maintained products are still usable.

This makes the product list more than a reference table. It is part of the health check for the carrier setup.

Maintain customer and client credentials carefully

The PCH setup requires the customer number together with test or productive client identifier and client secret. Keep the environment values separated and validate them together with the assigned endpoint.

Keep response language and label size aligned to the operating model

In addition to the technical access, the setup contains the response language, label size, and fallback package weight. These values should match the actual business and print scenario.

Respect the country scope strictly

PCH is limited to Switzerland and Liechtenstein. In addition, the sender address is taken from Company Information, so this master data must be correct before any request is tested.

Process Important PCH notes PCH setup stays compact, but the country scope and product validation are decisive.
  • Use only Switzerland and Liechtenstein scenarios for PCH.
  • Maintain the sender address correctly in Company Information because PCH uses it directly.
  • Treat the product list as validated carrier data and use the product-check function when available.
  • Keep test and productive client credentials and URLs separate.
