Line comments

Purpose

Comments on purchase and sales document lines can be transferred with the IC document so that the partner sees the same business context. This page describes activation and visibility in the document context.

Business value

• Business-side hints (for example delivery notes, internal agreements) reach the partner without a side-channel email.
• The comment appears on the correct document and the correct line, not as a bulk attachment.

Focus areas

Activation in the intercompany setup

The option Transfer line comments activates the transfer. Without this switch, line comments are not sent and are not visible at the receiver.

Visibility on the IC document

When the option is on, the comment is available through the line menu of the IC document – both on the sender and receiver side.

Outcome

• The partner sees every transferred line comment directly on the IC document.
• Business-side hints no longer need to be exchanged outside the system.
