A transfer order is created when locations are physically or organisationally separated. The transfer order contains all items that must be transferred in inventory terms from one location to another location. A transfer order can include an in-transit location that represents a means of transport or the transport route. This is necessary in order to separate the inventories so that the items are not included in availability at the time of transport. The transfer order can be linked to warehouse logistics as a source document via goods receipts and goods issues.
TOP-0010 - Create transfer order
The transfer order is created and the header data such as transfer-from code and transfer-to code is entered. Due to transfer routes, it may be necessary for posting to take place via a so-called transit location. This depends on the issuing and receiving location of the transfer order.

TOP-0020 - Capture lines
The items to be transferred are to be entered in the lines. Using the function ‘Create Matrix’, the quantities of the colour-size combinations to be transferred can be specified. Using the function ‘Resolve Matrix’, the data is recorded as individual lines in the order.
Alternatively, the lines can also be entered manually by entering the item no., variant, colour, size scale, size, and quantity.
TOP-0030 - Edit transfer order
The transfer is checked; quantities can be changed or entire lines deleted if necessary.
TOP-0040 - Release transfer order
The transfer order is released.

When replenishing NOS goods from the central warehouse to the stores, transfer orders are created. These contain the goods that are to be replenished due to target stock shortfall or sell-through.

The transfer order is created automatically from the replenishment document.
TOP-NOS-0020 - Capture lines
The affected items are transferred automatically from the replenishment document based on their respective requirements.

The transfer is checked; quantities can be changed or entire lines deleted if necessary.

In the event of a store closure, a transfer order can be used to transfer all goods from the store to another location. This is used, among other things, when a store closes and all remaining stock must be redistributed. To process withdrawal instructions, a transfer order is automatically created when the scan request is processed in the store. The store is stored as the issuing location and a returns or recovery warehouse as the receiving location. In the transfer order, only the items are then added and the document is made ready for dispatch and posting.
TOP-PBI-0020 - Capture lines
Using the scan function, the items are added to the transfer order. Alternatively, the items can also be entered manually. According to the setup on the withdrawal document, it is checked that only goods intended for retrieval are scanned.

Issuing store and receiving store are transferred automatically from the redistribution instruction. In the transfer order, only the items are then added and the document is made ready for dispatch and posting.

TOP-IRE-0030 - Edit transfer order
The transfer order was created from the item request. The transfer is checked; quantities can be changed or entire lines deleted if necessary.

The transfer order is posted. Item requests that cannot be delivered are reported as rejected items. This allows the store to request the item from another store. Optionally, the goods issue process can also follow afterwards.
