The process includes preparing the quality inspection, carrying it out, and initiating the resulting actions. Materials (ingredient or finished products) are usually subjected to an inspection when goods or sample shipments are received. The result is transmitted to the vendors in the form of a report. The quantities received with the shipment of goods are buffered in a blocked warehouse as long as the quality control has not been completed and released accordingly.

QAG-0010 - Create QA header

The document refers clearly to a purchase order, a goods receipt, and an item. The QA header is created automatically when the physical goods receipt for a purchase order is posted.

Incoming processes:

QAG-0020 - Create QA lines

The document lines contain the individual variants of the item for which a receipt has taken place and for which a quality inspection is planned.

QAG-0030 - Edit QA document

Different inspection criteria were defined freely in advance and combined into inspection scenarios. The inspection scenarios are then assigned to the positions that are to be inspected in each case. The inspections can therefore be defined several times for different positions.

QAG-0040 - Perform QA inspection

Depending on the selected inspection scenario, very different inspections are now pending for each QA document line. For each line, it is recorded who performed the inspection and when. The result can be recorded as ‘OK’, ’not OK’, or ‘with defects’. A comment field is available for the detailed description. In addition, any necessary rework can be marked. All activities are documented and can be extended by a review and approval process. As a result, a report can be generated that provides information about the contents and the results of the inspections. Among other things, it is used to contact the vendor/producer and inform them.

QAG-0050 - Release QA inspection

When the QA inspection is released, the inspected item is transferred and is therefore freely available for follow-up processes. This corresponds to an unblocking of the goods.
