The KSM process describes the definition of target stock quantities for an item based on item variant for a location. Automatic replenishment or resupply from the warehouse is aligned to these target stocks. A target stock can be generated from different documents such as sales order, purchase order, or from the inventory display matrix.

Target stocks are created manually without deriving them from the matrix or from a source document. The target stock overview is used for this.

KSM-MAN-0040 - Create target quantities

The item to be processed is selected and the target stocks are maintained manually at variant and location level.

KSM-MAN-0050 - Save target quantities

The target quantities can finally be checked and saved.

KSM-DOC-0040 - Create target quantities

The employee clicks “Create target quantities”. The system then automatically creates target quantities for the items from the document.

The employee can manually edit and adjust the target quantities in target stock management.

KSM-INM-0010 - Open inventory display matrix

The employee opens the inventory display matrix.

KSM-INM-0020 - Filter items

The employee selects items using various item and date filters such as item no. filter, vendor filter, colour filter, or location filter.

KSM-INM-0030 - Create inventory matrix

The employee creates the inventory matrix. The stock quantities are then displayed in a location-size matrix.

KSM-INM-0040 - Create target quantities

The employee can manually edit and adjust the created target quantities.

KSM-INM-0050 - Save target quantities

The employee saves the target quantities.
