Before we can play through the key usage scenario we need some setup and master data as prerequisites.

Switch your settings to the BE-POS user role.

Search for Basic Setup Card.

With the Basic Setup Card, you set up templates for your cash register setup.

Base Setup

Field	Description
Insert role center	Inserts the cash register role center
Initialize Standard Template	Initializes the standard template for the cash register design
Initialize Demo Data	Initializes CRONUS demo data
Demo Location	Demo location for CRONUS demo

By default, it is always recommended to call this function once and then adjust the data regarding cash register setup, discounts, and so on. Via the demo location you can use any location for test purposes.

Cash Register Start

Cash register start is initiated via the Start button.

First, the cashier must identify themselves by entering the relevant cashier code.

If the cashier code is not known, it can be searched for and selected via the magnifying glass button.

If a password is stored for the cashier, it is then requested in the input field.

Item sales

After the cashier sign-in, the sales mode opens with the Sales button.

If the cash register is configured accordingly, a salesperson must be captured before each receipt.

After entering the salesperson number, the cash register is in sales mode.

For the sales process, the barcode can either be scanned or entered manually if the scanner does not work.

Cash Register Closing

To perform a cash register closing, you must first be in an empty receipt and then initiate the process via Receipt Type -> Cash Register Closing.

If the following prompt is confirmed with Yes, the process for carrying out a closing is started.

Cash Revenue Registration

Depending on the setting in the cash register setup, there are two ways to capture cash revenue first: by denomination or as a total amount.
