Executive Summary

We are pleased to announce the release of version 27.2.0 of Dynamics 365 Business Central. This update brings a wide range of improvements and corrections that simplify your daily work, optimize processes, and increase system stability. Highlights include improved error messages, extended integration events, and revised translation files for more consistent communication in all languages.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Invoice management:
    • Flag “Received not invoiced” correctly set in purchase documents
    • Fix of an issue so that duplicate creation of invoices during warehouse postings is prevented
  • EDI: Added GTIN check when creating OUT ORDERS
  • Error messages: Improved error messages for missing source tables or documents without lines during warehouse capture, giving users clearer guidance.
  • Integration of new events: Added new events for processes such as updating warehouse address data and inventory management to facilitate customizations.
  • Public access to test libraries: Test libraries are now publicly available to simplify testing and validation processes.

New Functions

  • Logistics corrections: Introduction of a new codeunit BET FN Logistic Correction including associated test procedures for more efficient logistics management.
  • Session management: Introduction of the page BET FN Concurrent Session List with extended management functions for parallel sessions - for greater control and efficiency.

Obsolete Functions

  • Obsolete procedures: The procedures ShowNoSuppressCommitError and the report BET FN Invt Adjmt Per Item were marked as obsolete. This makes the code leaner and improves performance.
  • Fields set obsolete:
    • Table “BET FN In Season Ctrlg Mtx”: The previous field Source Code 2 was removed and replaced by a new field SourceCode2 with increased length (35) to standardize color code length.
    • posted shipment: unnecessary fields for the shadow warehouse removed

Refactorings

  • User interface:
    • Revision of labels and visibility logic in various pages to improve usability.
    • “BE-terna Fashion document search”: Revised filter settings
  • Warehouse processes: Adjustments to field labels and process logic in the pages MDE Free Put-away and MDE Free Pick to improve clarity and handling.
  • Reports: Price management: layout improvement in the report “Gross Price Changes”

Translations

  • Updated translations: All translation files were revised to ensure consistent terminology across the entire application and to further increase usability.
