MDA-LOC - Warehouse Master Data Management

The master data management process cannot be viewed separately; instead, the individual instances belong to the respective subprojects. Therefore, this instance is handled here and is linked to the meta process MDA - Master Data Management.

MDA-LOC - Warehouse Master Data Management

The process includes the management of warehouse locations for mapping and managing inventory for merchandise management and accounting. Within warehouse locations, a distinction is made between owned goods and depot or consignment goods.

The warehouse can be managed with a flat hierarchy (without bin management) or with bin-managed control. On top of that, the warehouse can be divided into zones.

The types of warehouse locations include, for example, floating goods (transit warehouse), warehouses for mapping QA processes, returns warehouses, and so on.

Additional attributes in the zones (bin classes and resources) can be stored and controlled at the warehouse location to manage the goods. Bin classes are used, for example, to map cooled zones. Resources are used, for example, to store pallet trucks for a zone.

Using so-called warehouse location groups, warehouse locations can be viewed together for different functionalities and evaluations (for example, availability calculation and delivery).
