Currencies

Company currency, foreign currencies, and rate variants in finance.

There is one company currency (LCY) as well as any number of foreign currencies (FCY) with exchange rates. These can be stored for vendors and customers.

Rates

The daily rates can be imported automatically from the ECB. This functionality is included in the Continia OPplus supplemental module.

Multi-currency capability

The system can display multi-currency activities in financial reports. Existing reports can also be converted into a reporting currency.

Management of international receivables and liabilities

A default currency (foreign currency) can be specified for customers and suppliers.

Management of incoming and outgoing payments in the specified currency

Receivables and liabilities are displayed both in the company currency and in the foreign currency in which the transactions were carried out.

Rate variants

Different rate variants can be maintained per currency in the program (accounting, budget, tax, costing, …).

Currencies on general ledger entries

Managing foreign currency on general ledger accounts is possible in the standard system with extended functions. Through the Continia OPplus supplemental module, entries in foreign currency can be applied on general ledger account level. No automatic adjustment takes place on the general ledger account.
